Next Gen Lunch MEAET with a Wellness and Mental Health Vibe

Edmonton's NextGen is excited to present Lunch MEAET - a micro-funding event that showcases local initiatives - with a scrumptious lunch twist on Saturday, February 23!

For the MEAET portion of the lunch, you will be hearing pitches from local independent projects that have a mental health or wellness component to their project, initiative or business! Listen to the pitches and schmooze with the pitchers, in order to vote on your favourite pitch. Then $10 of your ticket price will go to the winning pitch to help them make this project succeed in the community.

We are excited to announce our MEAET pitches: Shady Ape, Jack.org UAlberta and Shades of Colour Community YEG!

The lunch portion of the event will involve a picnic style lunch with comfort food, including pizza from Boston Pizza and donuts from Ohana Donuterie. We'll also provide mental health and wellness self-care activities, including:

- Therapy animals from Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society - Caawls
- Family friendly activities - ring toss, bullseye, colouring and more
- Tea samples from David's Tea
- Canadian Mental Health Association - Edmonton
- Edmonton Mental Health Awareness Committee (EMHAC)
- CASA Foundation
- WRAP - Wellness Recovery Action Plan
- YEG Smart City
